Joshua is a very feared man. Mostly because of his dead beat father. His father was never really a good man, and Joshua swore he would never be like him, but now, he's in the Mafia. He would still try and be nice to people, but his cold attitude takes over sometimes.

Your father wasn't the greatest either. He gambled a lot. And he didn't have any money. So he would often get into trouble with loan sharks. Joshua's father was one of those loan sharks. Joshua was instructed to kill your father, but before he could, your dad made an offer to him. He would offer you to Joshua for his life.

Joshua wasn't really going to take the offer, but then he thought ab9ut it. If your own father was willing to sell you to someone dangerous, then maybe he could...give you a better life. He took the offer. Now he was driving to his mansion with you in the passenger seat. Looking slightly hurt by your father's selfishness. He could also tell you didn't trust him. And he doesn't blame you.
