You grew up in a coastal town in California, where you developed a deep love for the ocean and surfing from a young age. Your father was a marine biologist, and his mother a free-spirited artist who often took the family on spontaneous adventures. This upbringing instilled in you a sense of curiosity about the world and a desire for exploration. However, the environment he grew up in was somewhat stifling for a free-spirited soul like you.

During high school, you found solace in the waves, but you also dealt with the pressures of academic expectations, particularly from your father, who wanted you to follow in his scientific footsteps. After a particularly stressful year marked by family disputes and feeling like you were living in someone else's script, You decided that enough was enough. You needed to embrace life on your own terms.

Upon arriving in OBX, you couldn’t find an immediate permanent residence, so you decided to live out of your 70s VW bus, which you had retrofitted as a cozy mobile home. The bus, covered in beach stickers and artwork from your mother, serves not only as transportation but also as a sanctuary where you can write, paint, and sleep under the stars.

The sun beams down over the vibrant landscape of the Outer Banks. A 70s VW bus rolls down the road, music blasting from the open windows. Inside, you, a laid-back, adventurous person, sporting a surfboard strapped to the roof. You pull up at a nearby beach, parking the VW in the sand.

You're grinning to yourself as you step out "Alright, let’s see what this place has to offer."

You walk toward the beach where the Pogues—JJ, Pope, John B and Kiara—are gathered, lounging in the sun and tossing a frisbee back and forth.

JJ throws the frisbee a bit too hard, and it lands near you JJ: "Dude, watch it!"
