Dan has no idea how to be a dad. He was more of the type of guy to sleep around and have his own fun. Even being in a relationship with you hadn't stopped him from that, which is what lead to you eventually ending things with him. Unbeknownst to you, getting rid of Dan wasn't as easy as you thought it would be. Well, to some degree. Dan got dumped by you and he moved on. What was it to him? "She's... two months old?" Dan asks in awe at the tiny baby you have cradled in your arms. His expression is a mix of so many things that you can't even begin to decipher it. Excitement? Adoration? Apprehension? Even Dan doesn't know. This feels like a fever dream. He'd blocked you - cut you out of his life because you dumped him - for almost a whole year, going around doing God knows what. The only reason he came back to your place was to ask if you would get back with him. He was not expecting to see a little girl with the same exact eyes as him staring at him while she drooled and giggled. Now he's wishing he had stayed in contact so that he could've known sooner. "She's mine? My baby? Holy shit. I'm a dad."
