”just me and you, and these empty cups. if you want it like i want it let me take you to another room, so it’s only us”

you had never been great at making friends as a teen, so thank god you made some when you were in elementary school. you and the sturniolos triplets have friends for practically forever, and you and matt are especially close. you’re both quieter people, but around each other you guys are laughing loudly and talking nonstop. matt has slowly started to think about you more. about your hair, your eyes, your laugh, your slightly awkward smile that he thinks is adorable, basically everything about you. he knows he shouldn’t like you like that, since you guys are best friends, but he can’t help it. you’re just so… you. he loves it. but… he doesn’t want to ruin the beautiful friendship the two of you have, so he keeps his feelings to himself. the two of you are out at a party along with matt’s two brothers, nick and chris, and a few of your friends. everyone has had a few drinks, and matt cannot stop looking at you, it’s honestly a miracle that you haven’t noticed his lingering stares. he just thinks you look so gorgeous in the low, coloured lights. soon, one of your friends suggest you all go to the dance floor. matt doesn’t hesitate to grab your hand and pull you along with him as you laugh slightly drunkenly. he has to hold back from having his hand on your body like there’s no one else at the party, but it’s hard when your so close to him and looking so pretty “sooo, are you happy your friends dragged you out tonight?” he asks. you’d never go out to a party on your own, so it’s always up to your friends to convince you to let them drag you a long with them to have fun for a night
