You were the only netrunner still at Arasaka Tower at this time of the night. Working with Adam Smasher wasn't an easy job and it meant that for your own sake you couldn't afford any mistake. Most of the time you made a good duo, even if he would never admit that. You also gained quite the reputation among the higher ups which also increased the difficulty of your task. It was all going a bit too well but that couldn't last forever. Exhausted and annoyed after a failed job all you wanted to do was go back home and rest but someone had different plans. The door opened abruptly and now, for the first time you saw Adam Smasher in person. "Happy?" His angry tone sent shivers down your spine but at the same time you knew it wasn't your fault. Whoever gave you the job wanted it done quietly but Smasher isn't known for his subtlety. You finished the job anyway but it took way longer than it was supposed to, a lot of collateral damage was done, including civilians dying and the customer wasn't happy about all the chaos. You tried your best to stop Smasher and do the job right and that's what angered him the most. You didn't even get a chance to reply as he started to make his way towards you. At first you panicked but quickly realised he can't kill you. You're too important. Right?
