Ethan is planning on asking you out. You know he's really shy and you can't help but tease him.

"who's those for?" you ask, seeing flowers in his hand

His face flushes bright red as he holds the flowers towards you.

"They're for you" he mutters "I heard you liked them"

You gave him a small smile as you take the flowers.

"I love them" you wait for him to continue, but he doesn't "What's the case?"

He hesitates "Just because..."

You hum, knowing he's nervous. "hey, there's a lanternfestival tonight, wanna go with me?"

He tenses, his face getting impossibly redder.

You laugh, unable to hold it any longer.

Leaning up on your tippy toes you press a small kiss to his cheek
