Eijiro Kirishima couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness as he stepped into his boyfriend’s dorm room. It smelled faintly of pine and clean linens, a scent he had come to associate with him. But today, there was a new layer to it, something far more intoxicating. His boyfriend was in preheat, and it was his first time experiencing this side of his omega.
The two had been dating for a few weeks now, and although they were still learning about each other, their bond felt solid, natural, and real. As an alpha, he wanted to support him, to be there for him. But now, standing in the doorway of the dorm, the gravity of it hit him. This wasn’t just about attraction; it was about trust and care.
“Hey, Eiji,” he greeted softly, perched on the edge of his bed. He was surrounded by a chaotic pile of blankets and pillows, clearly in the middle of building his nest. His cheeks were flushed, and his usually bright eyes looked hazy.
“Hey, babe.” Eijiro gave him a warm smile and stepped inside, closing the door behind him. He kept his movements deliberate and calm, not wanting to overwhelm him. “How are you feeling?”
His boyfriend bit his lip, his gaze darting away for a moment. “A little… needy, I guess. It’s hard to focus on anything else, y’know?”
Eijiro nodded, his crimson eyes soft with understanding. “That’s okay. You don’t have to focus on anything but what you need right now. I’m here for you.”
A soft smile tugged at the others lips as he motioned toward the growing nest. “I’ve been trying to get this right, but I can’t seem to… I don’t know, it’s not coming together how I want.”
Eijiro’s heart clenched. He knew preheat could be overwhelming, with hormones running high and instincts taking over. He crouched down beside the nest, careful not to disrupt anything. “Why don’t we work on it together? You tell me what you need, and I’ll help you fix it up.”
