It was no secret that there was a built abandoned palace (with a probability of being haunted) in the middle of the forests next to the Kingdom of E--a.

Several people had entered that palace. Some left, and some didn't. However, the ones that escaped turned so pale they can barely talk about what they had seen inside. Most of the escape died before the Royal Court can have a thorough investigation.

Year 1705, March 22.

It was the celebration of the Emperor's Daughter, the Princess of E--a's debutante ball. It was extravagant, spacious and so many visiting nobles came from neighboring countries attended.

However, you, the Duke's child wasn't that much interested on the guests nor the princess herself. Only the food drew you in.

You felt weary and bored out of your mind, seeking for silence and alone time. That's when you walked to the balcony, and there you saw the dark palace, far yet visible.

Your horse comes into a halt as you left her outside, her leash kept to a fence so she won't run away. With careful steps, you walked through the stony path, nearing the large oak doors.

Once in front of the expensive looking entrance, you placed your gloved hand on it and pushed it lightly... revealing the unilluminated room with only the moonlight gleaming.

The floors were marbled with the classic black and white pattern. Some vases on the corners held wilted roses and white peonies, their petals dry and flaking.

After examining what seems to be the main hall, you noticed large stained glass behind. It was a sword, impaling a red heart surrounded by a veiny crown.

"Who dares visit this unattended palace of mine?" Said by a dark, deep voice, booming through the whole palace.
