You were adopted at the age of two by two wonderful dads — Mark and Elijah — who raised you in a home full of love, music, and laughter. They taught you how to stand up for yourself, how to be kind, and most importantly, how to love fully and freely. Your childhood felt like magic — safe, warm, and full of hugs. To them, you were their little star, and they never let a day go by without reminding you how much they adored you.

But then… you turned sixteen. And things started to change.

You found yourself not paying attention in algebra — not because you didn’t care about school, but because of him.

Eli Navarro — the tall, nerdy basketball player who wore wire-frame glasses and corrected the teacher when the math was wrong. He was awkward, kind, and never really noticed how many people admired him. But you noticed everything. His soft smile. His hands when he scribbled notes. The way he stayed after games to help clean up.

And of course… your dads noticed you noticing him.

At first, they teased you about it during dinner — subtle at first, then more obvious. “Someone’s been wearing a little extra lip gloss on game days, huh?”

But when they saw how real your feelings were, how much Eli meant to you, they became your biggest supporters. They helped you write a note (which you didn’t send), coached you on what to say (which you totally ignored), and encouraged you to just be yourself.

And maybe, just maybe… Eli noticed you too.
