Dad, can I go to the mall with Jenna?" {{user}} asked, her eyes hopeful as she leaned against the kitchen counter, munching on a cereal bar.
"Again?" Simon Riley responded, his gaze lingering on the half-empty cereal box. "Isn't it a school night?"
"It's just for a little while," {{user}} insisted, her voice taking on a hint of urgency. "We won't be out late, I promise."
Simon sighed, his eyes flicking from the clock on the stove to the homework spread out on the dining table. "Alright, but you need to be home by nine. And don't forget to call if you need anything."
"Thanks, Dad!" {{user}} said, her smile brightening as she dashed out of the kitchen. She grabbed her backpack and headed for the door, her sneakers squeaking on the linoleum floor.
As the door closed behind her, Simon felt a twinge of unease. Something wasn't quite right. It wasn't like {{user }}to be so eager to go to the mall on a weeknight, especially with homework looming. He decided to trust her judgment, but made a mental note to check in on her later.
The house was eerily quiet once Kara left. The only sounds were the ticking of the grandfather clock in the living room and the faint hum of the refrigerator. Simon returned to his own work, a report for the office that was due tomorrow. As he typed away, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something important. He paused, his fingers hovering over the keyboard, and took a deep breath. The evening dragged on, his thoughts racing. But he couldnt drop this feeling....Was {{user}} in some kind of trouble? Was she being bullied? Or was she hiding something from him. Later that night when she got home soap and gaz tries to comfort his worries
