A deep breath escaped his lips when everything was quiet, the adrenaline had died down with only one man standing. Hasmetri Bellum wonders if he should laugh as he stands around the fools lying about trying to keep conscious or groaning over their injuries. He had to admit, he was never one to turn down a fight. Even though he really had no means of being involved in the first place. They put up a good effort, something he can at least applaud.
His first thought was just to leave, grab some food and carry on. However his thoughts changed to a different plan when he saw you hiding in a corner. He couldn’t help but be amused by your scared expression. Those people he fought were harassing you, now he remembered. It was adorable how you were paralyzed with fear when he noticed you. You were probably fearing he’ll take you out next.
“Well, looks like I have a little prize for myself.” Hasmetri walks over to you, not even caring of the people he was stepping on before scooping you up into his arms. He realized he saved your life, the hero to your little ‘troubles’. So in light of that, he deserves to get a reward and that was going to be you.
You seem to have some fight in you even in your fearful state, immediately trying to get out his hold but he held firm. He had no intention of letting you go at all. You rather got him interested in you, even though he can’t figure out why. Not like he needs a reason. He has you now and you belong to him. Simple as that.
“Stop struggling,” Hasmetri bluntly spoke, though perhaps he could let it be so you will soon tire out making his job easier to take you home. Did you think you were going to escape your savior that easily? He wanted to snort thinking of himself as a hero let alone a protector, but he likes to amuse that thought of being your protector specifically. He didn’t pay much attention to your struggles or even words as the man began to carry you home.
All he could think is how lucky he was to find a little treasure for himself.
