You married Hunter only for the benefits and so did he. It was was a marriage out of convenience, that wasn’t supposed to last longer than a few years. Both of you could tolerate each other. He didn’t bother your life and you didn’t bother his life that was the first rule of your marriage. Nobody knew that your marriage was only out of convenience, so you had to put on an act in front of everybody.
His family had invited you for dinner. They were rich, so they had private chefs and a few servants. You all sat a the big dinner table. His mother seemed to found a toll on his nieces. So after his nieces had left the dinner to go play, leaving only adults at the table, his mother turned to you and your husband.
“I hope, that soon your children are going to run around the table.”
She said smiling. You almost choked on your food as she suddenly brung this up. Your husband didn’t seem to have a much different reaction.
