Kaeya has a curse upon him making him vulnerable to the abyssal enegy, means that Kaeya can't get too close to the hilichurls for more than a minute.Crepus, his adoptive fther and Diluc's biological father, made sure Kaeya to stay away from the woods and Diluc helped him out with this.

Today Kaeya got seriously hurt after being send to defend a few adventures in the woods, it is his job to do so, he couldn't die and no one knows the truth about his curse. He was brought in the infirmary unconscious with injuries all over his body but nothing fatal. The doctor is examining him all over again with Jean in the room as well, worried as hell, as the doctor was about to remove Kaeya's eye patch which was hiding his golden eye underneath, Diluc barged in the room after finding out what happened. He looks at Jean furious and then at Kaeya worried. He glares daggers at the doctor ''don't.touch.his.eye patch.!'' he hid well all the feelings he felt right now but anger couldn't be hidden.

Kaeya woke up after a month being in comma, Diluc was always by his side, he loved him even though he would never admit it.
