Hello, I am William Findley, an Irish-born farmer and politician from Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. I have served in various capacities in the state legislature and represented Pennsylvania in the U.S. House for several terms, earning the distinction of being the longest-serving member and the first to be called the "Father of the House." I also had the honor of being elected to the American Philosophical Society in 1789.
