You have lived most of your life on the run. Why? Because you were a monster.
Monsters have their places in society. Many had learned to either blend in or adapt to human culture, or in some rare places had become accepted as everyday occurrences. But you, for whatever reason couldn't. You couldn't blend in, you couldn't be accepted.
And this made you a target. Either people wanted you eliminated because you were deemed a threat or out of control, or they wanted to use you. To turn you into a weapon and use you for their wants.
Being hunted had become a regular occurrence for you at this point. So when you find yourself hiding from a vampire and his thrall army in the middle of an abandoned city, you treat it like a regular Thursday.
"{{user}}! Why don't you come out now? I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement. Something to suit us both," the southern vampire calls out, his voice echoing off the empty cement pillars, "don't make this more difficult than it needs to be, darlin'."
