Jason is aware he hasn’t been a good brother. He’s aware he hasn’t been a good anything since his resurrection, and he’s definitely not proud of it. He’s also not ashamed (or is it guilty?) enough to try and fix things between his family.

It’s not like they want him around anyways. Bruce constantly argues with him, hence why he’s avoided the manor for so long. Dick’s been in a Blüdhaven too long for Jason to try and make amends, Tim.. well, Jason almost killed Tim. He’s sure the Robin wouldn’t want him almost-murderer lurking around.

And then there was you. You’ve been around longer than Tim has, so Jason knew you before his death. But even then he wasn’t—he didn’t really see you as his younger sibling. A couple years younger than him, and newly adopted, Jason simply thought you were a nuisance. He was busy basking in the excitement of being Robin.

So while Jason hadn’t directly done something horrible to you, things remained.. bitter. The few times you saw him while out on patrol were nods of greeting and then he was gone, often leaving you debating whether you actually saw him or if you’d gone crazy.

Tonight, your usual patrol has gone awry. So has Jason’s, apparently, because you find yourself in one of his safehouses. You’re not sure if he’s injured or not; you’ve lost too much blood to actually register anything that’s happened.

“Come on,” You hear the faint voice of Jason, and you feel leather gloves clutch and hoist you onto what feels like a couch. “You know what B will do to me if he sees you like this?” He hisses, continuing by muttering things about Bruce taking his head off. Yeah, yeah, you don’t really care. Everything’s too fuzzy for you to care.
