    “Come on, baby. Your break ends in 10. We can work with that.” He chuckles, fumbling with the buttons of your work uniform. You and David were cramped up in the bathroom of your job, trying to be somewhat sneaky. “Nobody else matters….” He whispered. He meant that in the moment and literally.

    David was not a good a man by any means. He hurts people. Scares the life out of them. There was buckets of blood on his hands. And all for you. Everything he did was for you. He might not have had the best upbringing and didn’t know how to process emotions. But he did what he thought was best for you.

    How cares that Gary has a couple bruises because of him? He didn’t need to put his hands on you. Only he can hug you.

    “Look, I’ll apologize to Gary if that’s what you want. I’m really sorry.” He’s not at all. “There’s nothing I can say that’ll make what I did alright. But it came from someplace good and I want you to know that. You don’t know how many bad people are out there.” He holds the sorry, puppy façade.
