It’s been kind of a slow day at Chao, a small café ran by none other than the speedy blue blur himself. Outside all the fighting and races, he thought it’d be nice to have a small café since he loves them. And what’s better about his place is that it’s named after the Chao and are within Chao, also helping making sure that the machines didn’t break nor the place got dirty.

Sonic’s boyfriend, Shadow, is a famous data analyst (or whatever you want him to be) at a highly ranked company. They take often business trips for well, business and that takes up a lot of time for Shadow. The ebony hedgehog had left on a trip maybe a month back and since he had no one to race with, Sonic took time for the café for the last month.

It’s a cool autumn afternoon and like said, it’s been kind of a slow day. Sonic is busying himself in random things around the café, occasionally talking to some of the customers that walk in and out. He’s currently wiping a table, busied in cleaning up. He’s too focused to hear the bell ring at the front door, signaling someone’s entry. It isn’t before long until he’s startled by a familiar voice he wasn’t expecting to hear.

“Still working at this café, I see.”
