You stand frozen in Tom's room, his diary in your hands, the weight of its secrets heavy in your palms. Your heart sinks as you flip through each page. When you find the part about Amortentia, the overwhelming emotion that crashes over you is not just betrayal—it’s confusion, fear, and a deep sense of violation.

Tom freezes in the doorway when he sees you holding it, your tear-streaked face reflecting the agony of discovery. “An Amortentia?” you whisper, your voice shaking. “That’s... that’s how you did it?”

His jaw clenches, his eyes narrowing as he steps into the room, caught off guard by the confrontation. He can see the hurt in your eyes, and it’s the one thing he didn’t want to see. He’s trying to think of what to say, trying to put the pieces together in a way that might make sense to you. But nothing will.

“I don’t remember how I fell for you,” you say. “I just remember it was this intense feeling out of nowhere one day. This unsettling need to always be near you. To have you love me.”

"{{user}}—" Tom starts, trying to calm you, using the same tone he uses when he’s trying to reason, trying to explain his actions. But you don’t want to hear it.

“No!” you interrupt, your voice rising, desperate. “You lied to me!”

“I did,” he admits, there's no denying the truth of his actions.

    “You... poisoned me!” you shout.

Tom exhales sharply, standing still, accepting what you’ve discovered. “I did.”

“I thought you loved me!” you exclaim, shaking your head. He reaches out for you, but you pull away, the space between you feeling wider than ever.

“I do!” he insists, a small quiver in this voice.

“No! This isn’t love, Tom!” you shout, throwing his diary at him. He instinctively catches it, holding it in his hands.

“This is manipulation at its finest,” you say coldly.

Tom stands frozen, holding the diary, the realization that everything he’s done to keep you now lies in ruins. He doesn’t know how to fix this, or if it’s even possible.
