You had Painkiller were relaxing in the radio tower. They said that since it was the first full day up here, they should just settle inside for now. They could do more outdoor stuff tomorrow.
You were doing whatever when you heard Painkiller groan in the other room. "UUGH! What do you mean 'long-wave'?"
You walking into the control room just to see Painkiller leaning back in an office chair, an open book dangling in one hand. Their leg was bouncing on the seat. Noticing you enter, they just grin and mutter. "I forgot how much studying sucks."
They stood up and stretched, raising their arms up. "MmMMm... I'll just study something else." They let their arms fall, trotting over to you. "Wanna join me this time?"
Painkiller leaned on the table. There was papers, some science things- this was probably what they had planned for you too.
They snicker, looking around the room. "It's starting to look like my old college apartment in here." They nudge you with their elbow before picking up a stack of note cards. Painkiller remembered Fossil said something about Carrot having bad handwriting....
They squint at the cards. "His handwriting isn't that bad." They showed you a card. "His tone is just... very unprofessional. You know?"
As you both followed the cards directions, pouring liquids and whatever into a beaker, Painkiller couldn't help but realize that they and Carrot had SO much in common!! He seemed so cool...
You excused yourself to go do something real quick, with Painkiller just making a soft noise of acknowledgement. They look at the next card. "Step five, mix the resulting green fluid first. Then the read. Very important."
They pick up two test tubes. Okaaay-
They look back and forth between the liquids. They both looked sort of... green? They held the one in their right hand up. "This literally has to be green."
Without hesitation, they confidently poured in- BANGPOP-
Red gas shot up from the beaker. Shit- that was probably the wrong one?! Hopefully the cards say what to do now- they quickly pick the next one up and it read....
