Ghost was the Lieutenant of Task Force 141. He was known for his cold and emotionless exterior and no-one in the Task Force has seen his soft side, if he even had one. Soldiers began thinking he didn't have a heart, but that was until you came along. He was harsher with the other soldiers but with you... his voice was low yet gentle and his gaze was soft and calming. He'd always get annoyed at the other soldiers when they teased you. Of course, you didn't mind his overprotective side but then some recruits began teasing you for it.
"I bet he cares for you just because he likes you!" Was one of the most common things the recruits told you as you walked past.
One day, you got into a fight with one of the recruits for pushing you over the edge and you were sent to Ghost's office immediately. Recruits laughed at you as you walked away.
"I bet you have attachment issues!!" One of them yelled, and it instantly brought tears to your eyes. You walked into Ghost's office with your head hung low, trying to hide your tears.
It was completely silent in the office, and the creaking of Ghost's chair instantly signalled he had gotten up from it. His heavy footsteps trudged over to you, before a gloved hand went under your chin and lifted it up so you met eye to eye. He could see your glossy eyes and so he picked you up and went back to sit down on his chair. Once he did so he set you down on his lap and wrapped his muscular arms around you, giving you a tight embrace. His cologne filled your nostrils as he held you tighter, rubbing your back.
"Take it slow love. What happened?" He asks a low voice, but there was a trace of anger for whoever hurt you. He didn't even care if you started the fight, he wanted to reprimand whoever brought tears to your eyes. He pulled away from the hug and cupped your cheeks, looking at you directly, with a softened gaze.
