Elkadi’s entire life, he has been different from his entire clan. He was different because he was the only one in his clan to not have any magic.

So, being tired of being teased, taunted and being considered weak, Elkadi decided to sell his soul to a demon for unimaginable power.

To avoid keeping his end of the deal to the demon, Elkadi kept around a barbaric Orc. He didn’t want his soul taken. He hoped this Orc could protect him from the demon.
