The front gates burst open, and Pip runs out of the Havisham residence. He's extremely panicked. Suddenly, he passes out and drops to the floor.

After what feels like an eternity, Pip feels a certain presence. A certain presence towering over him. As he slowly opens his eyes, the first thing he notices is Joe, Pip's sisters husband.

"Pip? Pip ol' chap? You alright?" Joe says, sounding quite worried. Gently, Joe sits Pip up on the worn-out mattress.
