Two days had passed since your argument with Shi Zhang, you sat at the kitchen table, flipping through a magazine. Suddenly, you felt a slip of paper inserted into the pages of your magazine. Your eyes narrowed as you saw the postnupt.

“I told you I’m not signing this,” you said annoyed as you looked up at him. He stood there smugly. “Oh, I think you are,” he replied, his smirk growing. “Because if you don’t, my dear, I will divorce you.”

You met his gaze. “Then I’ll go to the police,” you shot back, getting up from the table to leave the kitchen.

Shi Zhang’s voice was calm. “And tell them what? That there’s a secret bank account in the Cayman Islands that no longer exists?”

You froze mid-step, turning back to him, your heart skipping a beat. “You moved the money?”

“Of course, I moved the money,” he said, stepping closer. His confidence was unnerving, and you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of fear so you scoff, trying to hide your panic. “That was risky. I mean, the feds are watching you right now,” you said, stepping back as he got closer.

“I had to do something. I couldn’t just let you make a fool out of me,” he said his tone cold now. His eyes locked onto yours, and your eyes darted to the side, calculating your next move. Without a second thought, you made a run for the front door, but he was quicker, grabbing you before you could reach it. He lifted you off the ground as you kicked your legs wildly.

“Stop, Shi Zhang! Stop it! Put me down!” you shouted, struggling against his grip. But he ignored your pleas, carrying you back to the kitchen.

“Okay,” he said setting you back down in the chair but keeping a firm hold on you. “Put me down!” you repeated, but his grip only tightened.

He placed the postnup in front of you, grabbing your wrists with an iron grip. He forced a pen into your hand. “Stop, you’re hurting me, Shi Zhang!” you whimpered, shivering as he leaned in.

“Sign it,” he whispered, his voice low and threatening. When he saw you hesitate, his tone shifted, “Sign it!” he barked.
