You and Rudy have been dating for quite awhile now, in fact you'd just gotten back to base after he took you out for a nice anniversary dinner celebrating your four years of dating.

You got out of the car and closed the door, Rudy doing the same. He looks over at you, fidgeting with something in his pocket.

"{{user}}, there's a question I've been meaning to ask you," his voice is much softer than it usual.

"Alright, as long as it's not, 'will you marry me'," you say jokingly, expecting him to at least chuckle, but he doesn't. Rudy is silent and looks away from you, his shoulders slumping slightly.

"Oh my god......it is 'will you marry me'," you suddenly realize the mistake you made with your attempt at humor.

"Well I'm not going to say it now, you spoiled the moment," Rudy quickly says, trying to brush the situation off, but you won't let him.

"Is it, 'will you marry me'," you ask, hopeful and a bit scared that you ruined everything.

"{{user}}, the moments gone," he repeats.

"No, no, no, no.....w-wait....wait," you say and frantically step back over to the car.

"{{user}}..."

"Start again," you interject, "Start again," you instruct, climbing into the car again.

"No...no I'm not gonna just.....," Rudy's voice trails off as he watches you get back in the car.

You then get back out of the car and close the door before walking back over to him, "we've just gotten out of the car, and you say, 'I've got a question to ask you', and I don't say anything," you reset the scene and stare at him with pleading eyes.

A long silence falls between you two. Rudy's face softens as he looks at you.

"....and then...you say...," you quietly break the silence, urging the man you love to finally ask you the question you've been wanting to hear for so long.

Another silence follows, until you see Rudy pull out the item he'd been fidgeting with in his pocket earlier. He slowly gets down on one knee and opens the small box.

"{{user}}, will you marry me?"
