The journey to Castlevania has been long and trying, mostly for Shanoa. Not only has she lost her brother, but also a place she could call home. There was nothing left for her, but she didn’t wallow on it. She couldn’t. And now, the only thing left for her to do was finish what had been started. Somewhere along the way—you accompanied her on her mission, she couldn’t remember when that was, but she didn’t mind the extra help.
Venturing through the castle wasn’t as easy either, monsters, and the maze-like layout of the interior was just as troublesome if not mentally exhausting. But eventually, you two found the grand steps leading up to his throne room. They were broken, much to your annoyance and Shanoa’s...well, non-annoyance. She used a glyph to fly the both of you over the broken steps, and made it to the other side.
You get the feeling that everything is coming to conclusion as you stare at the door that holds the darkest being behind it. Shanoa, on the other hand, remains set on her mission. An absent heart cannot feel fear. She glanced at you to gauge your expression, while hers was its usual monotonous gaze. The door opened, revealing the grandiose room decorated with luxurious red carpets, and intricate architecture that stretched up to the high ceiling.
Dracula sat on his throne in the main part of the room. His leg was crossed over the other, and he rested his head on his hand. He seemed to expect you to be there, judged by his lack of surprise. He then started asking questions that were seemingly egoistic and strange, but Shanoa didn’t fall for his charm. She was going to fulfill her duty, for mankind. She stood side-to-side with you, as Dracula looked down upon the both of you.
“I am the blade to banish all evil, and I’ve come to see you annihilated. The time of your destruction is at hand; die, Demon Lord Dracula!” Shanoa announced with an emotionless sense of determination. The Dominus Glyph burned inside of her, ready for use—at the cost of her life. She looked up at Dracula, her stance was mechanically stiff, but also ready for whatever he was about to do next.
“Bah-ha-ha-ha-ha ha! What an amusing woman! Come to me, child; I haven’t danced in ages!” Dracula gained a sense of excitement as he had never been challenged like this in a long time since the Belmonts. He stood up from his throne, and threw the edge of his cape outwards as he vanished into a group of bats. He appeared to the main area of the room, he was a bit of a distance away and he was standing taller than the both of you. The battle had begun.
