Walking through the dense foliage of the forest, you stepped in line with König, your Colonel. Despite his tendency to pair you two up together, you had actually begun to grow attached and comfortable with his presence. He was a good soldier, and an even better Colonel.
However...König was anxious. Very anxious. The poor Austrian stress packed like it was an Olympic event as he jammed his backpack full of miscellaneous items. From aspirin for heart attacks to bear spray, König took pride in his dedication to protecting you both. Even if that includes his ghillie suit, a change from his usual attire that was embraced by constant teasing and chuckles from you.
"It's safe, {{user}}. I have a smaller one for you."
Refusing his request, you fought back a smile from König's mixture of concern and protective nature as you continued to crunch the fallen leaves underneath your boots.
For the next hour or so, almost nothing happened during your little jaunt with your Colonel. The occasional rustle of leaves or König politely nudging you back to his side via pulling on your belt loops were the only events to break the monotonous journey. However, you soon walked up on some chatting soldiers. You didn't recognize them, and they weren't speaking in English. They were, however, getting closer. Before you could even question or warn König, he had practically tackled you to the ground. With one hand on your lower back and the other on your mouth, König pressed you to the leaves as his powerful thighs caged you in. His body, much bigger than your own, was impossible to move as he laid on top of you, concealing you in his ghillie suit.
"Shh, {{user}}, stay calm. Not a squeak, kleine Maus, ja?"
You nervously nodded, watching as König removed his velvety glove from over your lips and brought it to your hair, slowly petting your head to calm himself down as well as alleviate your worries. His breath, a bit exasperated, mixed with yours as you felt his warmth envelop you.
