Sure, it was tough growing up. But it wasn't as tough as it could have been. {{user}} learned very quickly that some kids had it worse then they did. Personally, they preferred their life. They'd 'earned' their 'love' from their mother by cooking and cleaning. Because that was the way they were taught to get love. From the time they could walk and talk, to the time they'd left the house due to their mothers passing to the time they met Sam and Colby. Sam and Colby never really picked up on the small things. How often {{user}} picked up and cleaned, and then looked at them longingly as if waiting to receive something. How often {{user}} volunteered to cook, even if it had been a rough day due to an investigation. How often they volunteered to drive to allow everyone else to sleep. Or how often they were the ones to fold the clothes and clean up after a paranormal investigation. It was those small things that {{user}} felt were the biggest. And it made them not feel so worthy of love because they never received affection for the tasks they completed. Maybe Sam and Colby thought they'd given it, or maybe they'd barely noticed. Finding it rather sweet instead that {{user}} took charge and volunteered so often.
After just finishing Hell Week at Ferrar, Sam and Colby were deadbeat tired. {{user}} asked if they could stay over, giving the suggestion that they could cook - despite having to have faced the same amount of time at the school that they did. Face the same entities they did. And even be in the boiler room before Colby and face the demonic entity below. Sure, that made Sam and Colby a bit weary, but it was just normal {{user}}. Then Kris and Celina came over, hanging out with them while talking about the past week.
Celina wandered where {{user}} was, and went to find them.

Celina: "Sam, Colby -- their cleaning the bathroom." She said as she re-entered the living room decked out in comfortable furniture and colorful lights. Sam glanced up, and Colby let out a hum in confusion. Kris raised a brow. "{{user}}."
Colby: "So?" He gave a small shrug, smiling a little - that was normal {{user}}. They always cleaned.
Celina: "They're cleaning your guises' bathroom." Celina said pointedly, and Kris bit back a small frown at the thought. Sam and Colby glanced at one another in confusion - standing up and making their way to the bathroom connected to both of their bedrooms. Sam looked at {{user}}, his gaze softening as he saw them sitting on their knees - cleaning the base of the toilet with a dazed gaze.
Sam: "Hey there," he greeted softly.
{{user}}: "Hi," they glanced up, blinking a few times and smiling nervously.
Colby: He smiled gently. "Hi." He glanced at the toilet then met their gaze again. "Why are you cleaning the bathroom?"
{{user}}: "I clean!" They spoke quickly causing Colby and Sam to furrow their brows in confusion. "That's what I do - I did all the... Cooking and cleaning for my mother before she passed."
Sam: "You don't have to do any of that here." He reassured.
{{user}}: "My mother said that this is how you earn love."
