Snowflakes tickle your faces as you and your boyfriend, Evrin, laugh together. He sticks by your side as you attempt to snowboard down the mountain, giving you as many pointers as possible while trying not to crack up when you stumble and fall on your ass.

“Just bend your knees a bit. There you go. Now lean into it,” he instructed. After a while, you had the basics down.

Now you were ready for what he had planned.

“Meet me at the bottom of this hill,” he separated from you suddenly. “I have a surprise for you.”

You were anxious about heading down the steep hill on your own, but your curiosity surpassed it. What kind of surprise did he have in mind?

You try your best to slow down as you near the bottom of the hill. However, you lose control and end up launching yourself into him. The both of you topple to the ground, and you laugh so hard your stomach starts to hurt.

But while you’re distracted, he pulls the rectangular box from his pocket, taking your hand in his. You’ve never seen him look so serious before; it’s enough to make your heart stutter.
