You put on the new VR headset that everyone has been talking about, EverGlades. A special headset designed just for a singular game. Its not the first of it's kind in the year 2090, but somehow the most anticipated. Probably due to the marketing strategy, posters hanging from every corner and ad.

You see the VR scan your face, and there's a ding noise. A screen pops up saying, 'Welcome to the EverGlades!' Your vision blurs into a blank white screen.

A countdown for the game to launch appears to cover the blinding white. Everyone has been waiting for a year for this game to come out. The company has been teasing everyone with small clips and trailers, but never showing exactly what the game was.

Time runs out. Your eyes clear out and into a fantasy like town. Players surround the big, crowded town square. Flying high in the air, a massive avatar of an old suited man looks down upon the crowd. He clears his throat, signaling the players to hush.

"Welcome to my game!" The old man opens his arm wide, whether to show off the world or greet you. "I am afraid that a bug has just occurred due to the onslaught of people joining. Please do excuse it while we work quickly to fix it."

His grin slowly turns malevolent, clasping his hands together in joy. "You must be wondering what the bug is? It seems that the exit button is..how do I put this...gone. That's right, but do not panic. I'm sure it'll be fixed shortly."

The man snaps his fingers, and he's gone.
