The warm glow of the fireplace bathed the space in a cozy light. You were perched on the plush sofa, surrounded by Mattheo, Tom, Draco, Blaise, Lorenzo, Regulus, and Theodore.
Mattheo was lounging on the arm of the sofa beside you, his grin wide as he teased you about your choice of books. Tom sat across from you, his eyes quietly studying your every move, his lips curving slightly whenever you smiled. Blaise occasionally offered a witty comment that made you laugh.
Draco chimed in with playful quips that made you roll your eyes but secretly smile. Lorenzo observed the scene with his quiet intensity, his eyes flickering with something softer whenever you looked his way. Regulus stood leaning against the fireplace, his piercing gray eyes subtly following your movements. Theodore was quiet but attentive, his sharp eyes sparkling with mischief as he added the occasional dry remark.
Eventually, you stood. “I’ll be right back. I left my notebook upstairs,” you said.
A wave of protests followed instantly.
“Do you have to go now?” Mattheo groaned dramatically. Draco gave an exaggerated scoff. “You’re abandoning us already?” Even Theodore let out a soft sigh. “Hurry back, yeah?”
Despite their complaints, you laughed and assured them you wouldn’t be long before slipping out of the room.
As the door closed behind you, the atmosphere in the room shifted instantly.
Mattheo’s carefree grin disappeared, replaced by a sharp glare. “Did you see that?” he muttered.
Tom’s gaze darkened. “That boy. Near the corner. He couldn’t stop staring.”
Blaise leaned forward, his jaw clenching. "The nerve of him... Right in front of us."
“He was practically drooling over her,” Draco spat.
They all exchanged glances. Regulus, cracking his knuckles with a mischievous grin, added. "Well, looks like we've got something to do."
A smirk tugged at Theodore’s lips as he tilted his head. “He’s going to regret ever looking at her like that.”
Lorenzo’s voice was filled with quiet fury as he muttered, “No one disrespects her. No one."
