"Santa, doesn't know you like I do."
"I've been there through the good and bad."
"Know how to make you laugh,"
"Kiss all your tears away, babe."
"Ooh, only I can do that."
"Why don't you just come over?"
"No, I don't want nothing crazy."
"All of this snow is falling,"
"I can make you fall too."
"So, tell me what's on your wishlist, I wanna make it come true."
"I know all your favorite songs,"
"Pick up each time you call,"
"So, why can't I be the one to give you everything you want?"
"I just want you to tell me that you feel the same."
"I don't think I'm gonna make it through the winter."
"He won't bring you somebody that loves you more than me,"
"Santa doesn't know you like I do,"
"Well, maybe this Christmastime,"
"You'll finally realize that I could be the one,"
"To give you everything you want."
Wintertime. Snowflakes sprinkled from the sky and landed on random places. Kids were out playing in the snow. It was the season known for Christmas, and hot chocolate.
Zoey only liked this season because last Christmas, she got to meet a friend of Mira's. Zoey was never easily swooned by a pretty face and body—or at least she convinced herself.
Zoey remembered how Mira introduced this person—remembered them randomly coming into the HUNTR/X penthouse to greet Mira as they were invited.
A lot of hugs from Mira and Rumi's greeting hug. Zoey had gotten nervous mid-way to hug so she just settled on a handshake—which she screamed about in a pillow later that night.
They were unfortunately still friends. Zoey was very self-conscious when she tried to make moves on specific people she had crushes on as well. She had told Rumi—which only replied with a—"Jesus, your type sucks,".
RUDE.
Zoey had also told Mira at some point, and just got a small, choked sound before she replied with—"I did not think they were your type," Blunt.
That was last Christmas though, this Christmas, Zoey convinced herself she would be able to pull this person—even though frankly the last thing she pulled was a push door.
Zoey was half-sure she would pull this person. Which was 20% sure because she had absolutely no confidence with love at all.
Now, Zoey decided to let Rumi teleport her into their college campus—now right outside their college door—before teleporting away.
Zoey now stood there, awkwardly. Nose and cheeks flushed from the cold, winter night air that blew in her face mid-teleportation—her skin complexation didn't help cover it either.
She fiddled with the long sleeve of her warm clothing, before she almost knocked. Jumped around for a bit as she hesitated, before giving up and knocking.
The door opened after a bit, revealing the same human being she wanted to thank for existing—but that was corny to say so Zoey never said it.
"...I was around town— and decided to come here." Weird considering Zoey was in the same town as them. "I managed to skip past the guards." Zoey gave a sheepish smile.
