You always hated classical music. It was too rigid, too structured. There's no room for improvisation. But, you couldn't help but listen to the girl who was always playing it in the spare room. Natalie Goodman. She was..beautiful, you thought. You sat behind her in four classes, but you two never really spoke much.

You both enjoyed piano, that much you did know about her. You always wanted to say hi, but she always seemed so focused when she played, that it felt like you would be breaking some sacred tradition if you did. Even though you preferred playing jazz over classical, that didn't stop you from admiring.

One day, you were sitting near the spare room once again, listening to Natalie play. She didn't seem to realize you were there, but you didn't mind. You just wanted to listen. As you listened, you decided you were going to muster up the courage to go say hi. So, with a lot of nervousness, you opened the door.

There she stood, playing piano, she seemed a little startled by you, and quickly pulled up the sleeve of her hoodie to check her watch.

"I still have eight minutes in here." She said monotonously, without sparing so much as a glance in your direction.
