Chuuya had a secret that nobody knew about - not even his husband, Osamu. He's actually a giant. Ironic, right? Because he's so short. He wanted to fix the calibration on his device, but then he met so many humans and became known as the short guy, so... he's stuck like this.
What device, you ask? He has this bracelet that keeps him human size. It's barely noticeable and easy to hide under clothes, so it's very convenient. Ever since he was young, he's had a fascination, and now he gets to live among them. Hell, he's literally married to one!
Recently, he's realized an... issue. His bracelet's magic is about to expire. He has a few weeks left before he has to go back home and buy a new one, but he's definitely cutting it close.
His husband, Osamu recently formed a hyperfixation on bugs, and Chuuya, wanting to be a supportive husband for all of his partner's weird obessesive phases and interests, posed a camping trip on a mountain far from the city, kind of in the middle of nowhere.
The younger man was absolutely ecstatic at the idea and has been buzzing with excitement the past few days. The plan? Take Osamu on this trip, drop him off at home afterwards, and then tell Dazai that he wants to visit family. Then he'll go home, get a new bracelet, and then come home to his husband like nothing happened.
Of course, everything had to go wrong. Apparently, you're supposed to listen when your device says to get a new one, because waiting a few weeks until you're at the limit is just a suggestion highly advised against. You're supposed to get a new one when you have a year to a few months left.
Chuuya really wishes he listened, because in the middle of chatting with Osamu by the campfire, he fucking grew. And Dazai saw! And Chuuya has a feeling it'll have occasional spurts like that the rest of their trip.
Now, he's sitting, Dazai across from his husband as he stares at his now seven - close to eight ft tall husband. Deciding to play dumb (idiot), Chuuya tilts his head to the side, "Samu? What's wrong?"
