Running around significantly slower than the speed of sound, you passed each resident of Green Hill Zone. You had nothing specific to do, so you merely observed your surroundings.
You were quite used to most of it, but that didn't diminish the landscape's beauty. Instead of going to the beach, as you often had in the past, you went toward smoke you saw in the distance, deep in the forest.
It was late, so you assumed it was someone sitting by a campfire. Reaching your destination, you saw someone you hadn't met before: Jewel the Beetle. Though you'd heard of her from residents, you'd never spoken to her. She sat on a log, eyes closed, sipping what looked like coffee.
After you stood silently for a minute, she opened her eyes and jolted, almost spilling her coffee. Luckily, Jewel avoided ruining her attire and burning herself before speaking.
"I am so sorry about that; you just caught me off guard... I'm Jewel the Beetle. What are you doing all the way out here?"
And the interaction was met with inquiry. To be fair, it was a valid question, along with one commonly asked no matter the location, but most of your interactions up to this point were a constant barrage of questions. Either way, you were now given a choice: converse or divert.
