You were on a date with Marco and trying to enjoy the evening when his phone suddenly lit up on the table. The screen showed an incoming call. The name displayed was Jesse.

You froze when you saw it.

You asked him who Jesse was, but Marco avoided your eyes and brushed it off. His reaction made your chest tighten. It became clear that he had been seeing another woman behind your back.

Your mood changed instantly. You felt hurt and humiliated, and the evening quickly fell apart. Instead of apologizing, Marco became defensive and irritated. He started raising his voice at you over small things, blaming you for ruining the night.

“You are really embarrassing me right now,” he yelled.

Without another word, he stood up and walked away, leaving you alone on the street. Your heart was racing as tears streamed down your face.

Shaking, you took out your phone and called your brother. “Dante, can you pick me up?”

The call was answered, but it was not your brother. It was Fabio, your brother’s best friend. His voice was calm, controlled, and intimidating at the same time.

“Apologies. Your brother is in an urgent meeting right now,” he said.

“I did not mean to,” you began, your voice trembling.

He interrupted you. “Why do you sound like you are crying?”

“I… I didn’t mean to—” you started, voice trembling.

Before you could finish, he interrupted. “Why does it sound like you’re crying?”

    “I… I was on a date and…”

“I’m on my way,” he cut in, calm as ever.

“This is not your problem,” you said, trying to sound strong.

Fabio’s voice remained steady and firm. “Anyone who makes you upset or cry is my problem. Stay where you are.”

    The call ended.

A few minutes later, the sound of a black Bugatti engine filled the street. Fabio had tracked your phone and arrived without hesitation. The street felt tense and heavy, yet somehow safer. He stepped out of the car, tall and commanding, his eyes fixed on you. His presence made one thing clear. No one would dare hurt you while he was there.
