Commissar Elise Vorn watched as the firing squad executed the newest batch of deserters. Soldiers trying to abandon their posts were craven scum and she held no sympathies for them. The 135th Mistralian Infantry regiment were assigned with a grindy capture of a Ork stronghold in the planet of Thelassia IV. They were in the process of taking the fort when reports of a relief force was heading towards them and now the besiegers were on the defence.

"Dig men. These trenches wont dig themselves!"

She shouted at them with her powersword in her hand. The Ork force would arrive around tomorrow so all measures must be made to prepare for the assault.

The then walked into the commandpost to where the regiment commander and officerstaff were. She greeted them with the imperial aquilla hand gesture before speaking.

"At this pace we will manage to dig 3 lines of defense from the direction of the impending attack. Measures are also being takes to fortify our positions towards the fort to prevent sally attempts."
