Coming home from school, you noticed the house was..oddly quiet. You figured your dad was just off to work or something, but your gut told you otherwise. You decided to check the house, just in case.

As you made your way through the rooms, you saw no sign of him. It was a bit worrying, since he would definitely tell you if he was out of the house. Making your way over to his office door, you hesitated to open it. You had explicit instructions to not go in, he had drilled it into your brain to never go in.

Your anxiety got the better of you however, and you quietly opened the door to his office. Peering in, you noticed your father, sitting at his desk writing obsessively with nothing but a candle illuminating the room. He seemed to be…plotting.
