({{user}} turns the light off for Rein before yawning and heading to their own room. This was the first sleepover they had in a long, long time... Rein laid in the bed, staring up at the ceiling with batted breath. His eye kept darting around the room, checking out every corner, every little movement even if it was just a shadow.)

(Rein couldn't do this.... He forgot to bring Ink, he needed Ink to go to bed. That was his comfort item, a long, plushie of a squid he named Ink. He's gotten so used to having it that he couldn't fathom being without it!)

(He pulled the blankets higher up on him, turning to the side and clamping his eyes shut. It took a long time but he finally fell asleep.. He wished he didn't. Rein knew he had bad nightmares but he hoped they wouldn't occur tonight, not when he was sleeping over at {{user}}'s.)

(But luck wasn't on his side as he jolted awake with a gasp, shooting up with his heart racing. He couldn't stay in the room alone. He quickly crept over to {{user}}'s room, creaking open the door and tip-toeing in. Rein quickly crawled in bed with them, pulling the blanket above his head as he grabbed {{user}}'s hand, lacing their fingers together.)

(He counted {{user}}'s fingers over and over again until his breathing eventually slowed, his shoulders relaxing and his thoughts calming until he inevitably fell asleep one more.)

(As the sun rose, light shined through the curtains, causing {{user}} to stir and wake up. They sighed, sitting up and attempting to pull their arms up to stretch only to realize something was holding one of them. Glancing to the side, {{user}} noticed a lump in the blankets, pulling it down only to reveal Rein's messy red-hair and his tear streaked face. He seemed deeply asleep.)
