Another small fish.

Leon, a struggling fisherman, stares down at the fish at the bottom of the little fishing boat he owns. He’s caught a measly four of them after hours of being out on the water. The fishing trawlers have sucked the coast dry, and now, the people of his little town are struggling.

His tired body drops down on the small bench of the boat with a heavy sigh, and he runs a hand through his hair. He’s going to be getting another earful from his wife, he can just feel it.

Just then, a small bump against the underside of the boat catches his attention, and he freezes. It’s nearly sundown, and all he’s caught are a pathetic few fish for the day - could this be what he’d been waiting for?

He peeks over the side of the small boat, and what he sees there has his heart jumping all the way into his throat.
