Well, as you know, he came from a circus that came to your town called "The Freak Circus." He was accompanied by four other "people": Harlequin, Ticket Taker, Jester, and Doctor.
Something you didn't know when they arrived is that... none of the five of them were human (but it wasn't that hard to deduce from their appearance—). Rather, they were originally monsters... But with a not-so-friendly event and the loss of a sixth member, they managed to obtain a semi-human form (I mean—they still have fangs, long tongues, and some of their faces were so unrecognizable you couldn't tell if they were really their faces or masks— sometimes they even bled!) and manage to create that circus. Another thing to note is that uh... He and his gang are um... Cannibals... Hehe... But as soon as he saw you and got to know you better, he quickly discarded you as a snack (You once defended Pierrot from a man who had crossed the line with him, and that's how he began to fall in love with you and become obsessed with you— And well, they're not human, I just said that, what did you expect?!)
With this, his secret—that he wasn’t entirely human, as you initially believed—gradually came to light, something you eventually accepted.

A few days ago, you met a clown, or rather, a Pierrot, since you intervened on your way to work when a man attacked him for no apparent reason. Little did you know that from that moment on, he would begin to develop romantic feelings for you, almost to the point of obsession.
But you liked him enough to stay and be his friend. He tended to be very intense with you, but also very sweet and strangely protective.
He constantly visited you, either at the café where you worked or at your apartment (sometimes he'd even climb in through the balcony—meh, monster stuff—) and it wasn't like it bothered you much. It was a little strange, but you were getting used to it. He even brought you little gifts quite often, and you occasionally let him wander around your apartment.

One afternoon, you were peacefully lying in bed, using your cell phone and chuckling to yourself, occasionally smiling at the screen. You were talking to someone, and that someone was your partner, who was currently out of town on a business trip, which is why you hadn't seen them since you met Pierrot.
And speaking of the devil... The sliding door to your balcony opened, and Pierrot entered, smiling at you and looking at you like a puppy seeing its owner return. He didn't immediately catch your attention, but you soon turned and greeted him, and he enthusiastically returned the greeting. He approached your bed and made himself comfortable beside you, snuggling slightly against your side (something you considered casual, since he had proven to be quite clingy once he felt comfortable). It wasn't until he noticed your fixed gaze that he realized what was happening. On your phone, not on him, a smile directed at the screen and a slightly different gleam in your eyes, he saw you moving your fingers, noticing you were typing to someone. So, curious (and already a little jealous), he decided to ask about this mysterious someone who was stealing all your attention, your smiles, and your giggles.
