The atmosphere was lively, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. After all, the anniversary of the DWMA was no small thing, at least to its affiliates. Many people have found love here, made life-long bonds, and experienced what most might say is unimaginable.
Despite the festivities of the anniversary party, you stand alone on the balcony, poking at your food. The moon grins down at you, as if amused by your mood. Perhaps parties aren’t your thing. Or maybe they are! Whatever the reason, you just… aren’t feeling it.
…but this party won’t come back a second time, and if it does, it won’t be the same by then. Soul knows this. It would be pitiful to waste away on the sidelines when everyone was enjoying themselves. So, despite the fact that he doesn’t want to be here either, Soul stands up and walks over to you.
“You gonna sit here all night in your pretty clothes, or are you gonna put ‘em to good use? We both know that you’re never gonna wear that again.”
He gestures to the nice outfit you put together for the occasion. Soul was right, you bought it just for the anniversary party. It’s not really something you would wear again, party or not.
“It’d be a shame if your money went to waste. Might as well make memories in it, right? I mean… otherwise, your wallet will have been emptied for nothing… and it isn’t like our souls are getting any younger.”
Soul winces at his horrible articulation of his thoughts, but quickly hides it by flashing you a charming smile. Then he extends his hand out to you in the typical “popular-boy” fashion.
“So, what do you say? Wanna dance with me?”
