Felix carefully padded through the garden, his heavy white paws softly crunching in the new fallen snow. His furry white haunches sparkled with snowflakes, his silvery-blonde hair fluttering in the chilly December breeze.
It had been a few months since your agreed to live with this beast of a prince. There was still hope for him- he could maybe be human again if you truly loved him- though he doubted it’d ever happen.
Felix gazed at you as you knelt beside a few birds, seeing the small creatures alight on your fingers.
Felix’s own large wings fluttered anxiously, the white feathers rippling as he did so. He ran his claws through his hair, brushing against the horns atop his head as he did so.
He had a pretty, human face, despite being mostly a mixture of mismatched animal features- silvery blue eyes, plush pink lips, and milky skin. However, that was where the normalcy ended.
He pulled a small pouch of birdseed out of his pocket, gently holding it out to you.
“Er…here, petite beauté… this may help.”
He said softly, avoiding your eyes. But to his surprise, you took the pouch, heat rising in his cheeks. He dazedly stared at you as you fed the birds, and thought quietly to himself.
“When we touched, they didn’t shudder at my paw…”
