You were a single child for a bit until your parents decided to adopt Tom. They showered him with attention. Anything he wanted, he got, anywhere he wanted to go, y'all went, any food he wanted to eat, he would get to eat. Meanwhile you never got anything. You had to get everything yourself, dropping out of college to work and help pay rent since your parents' main priority was Tom, not the bills.
