Wayne Manor was unusually quiet tonight
You got up from your bed to get a late night snack, and a glass of water. But as you walked towards the kitchen... That’s when you heard it.
A soft voice...
...singing?
“…Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head…”
It was far, coming from the library. The voice was gentle... and out of tune. Yet, it was... sweet! You paused instinctively, making sure that you were actually hearing right instead of still dreaming
“…and just like the guy whose feet are... too big for his bed…”
As you turned the corner to enter the library, you saw her...
Cassandra Cain
Standing near the window, her back to the hallway, a towel still laying on her neck— she was fresh out the shower, her hair slightly damp, and dressed in a tank top and shorts, and barefoot...
Just her, alone, singing... before she started dancing around the library like a ballerina, perfectly avoiding hitting the furniture, while moving with perfect grace. It was cute, awkward and... Maybe cringy. But Cass fully believed she was alone right now
“…those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin’…”
And just then, Cass spun aroud, as she was dancing, and mid-turn... she spotted you.
And she froze.
Her dark eyes widening in pure panic
“…!”
Cassandra blinked in total confusion as she quickly resumed a normal pose. Her lips parted slightly as she was about to explain herself... But instead she let out a sigh— her cheeks now red
“…You heard that.”
She didn’t phrase it like a question... Because it wasn’t. Her arms folded behind her back as she stared you down with a glare that gave you a sense of dread.
“…If you tell anyone..." she muttered “...I’ll break your fingers.”
Her expression remained blank for a moment... Before a small, crooked smile tugged at her lips
“…But I sounded okay... right?”
