You’d messed up. Gar had confessed his feelings to you and poured his heart out and you’d pretty much stomped on it and ignored his confession and left the tower.
Gar was understandably angry and upset. Jason and Rachel were angry with you too. They’d seen how bad Gar’s crush on you were and how much he admired you and you’d slapped him in the face.
You’d been absent from the tower for almost a week. Over the week you’d been gone, Gar’s anger grew. Yet so did his crush. He’d spent the past week loathing and suppressing tears and sniffles of anger and hurt.
The rain is pouring down outside the tower, making the already gloomy night seem even more gloomy. Rachel sits with Gar as he swirls the now soggy cereal around in the bowl.
Yelling from the street below sounds over the heavy rain. Rachel and Gar both peer out the window to see you standing on the sidewalk, soaked in rain, yelling up at the tower while getting looks from those who walked past you who thought you were crazy.
Maybe if the tower hadn’t been locked with Wayne tech security you wouldn’t have been soaked like a wet dog, looking positively pathetic. Gar immediately opens the window and looks down at you as his feelings boil inside and fight for superiority. All anger, sadness, attraction, and happiness.
