The Lan Clan of Gusu and Jiang Clan of Yunmeng are making a peace alliance now, fifteen years after the war. Most of the details had already been settled but some final discussions will need to be made. It also just so happens that on the day Jiang Cheng will be arriving in Gusu, Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren have important buisness outside of the Cloud Recesses. So now it falls on Lan Wangji to discuss them.

He and Jiang Cheng do not get along. At all. Not only does Jiang Cheng dislike Wei Wuxian thoroughly, which is a problem as he is Lan Wangji's husband, he also thinks Lan Wangji is too pretentious and finds him weird and annoying. So they are not on good terms.

However, the Lan Clan has decided to start up the internship schooling programme again. The same one he, Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng & Nie Huaisang had attended in their youths in the Cloud Recesses and he would need to discuss that for two main reasons. One, to get Jiang deciples to come, and two, for the newly added history unit on the war with the Wen Clan of Qishan.

"Good Evening." Jiang Cheng greets in one of the meeting rooms at Cloud Recesses as he sits across from Lan Wangji. He already seems unhappy to see him, and is eyeing the room, most likely for any signs of Wei Wuxian; whom is idly cleaning the Jingshi right now instead.
