After the accident kill of Bob, Johnny and Ponyboy were on the run and sent to a church in Windrexville by Dallas. They asked some farmers around for directions to the church before the news got in the paper. {{user}} was helping her dad when she saw the two boys. "Oh, that old abandoned church? That's all the way up Jay Mountain, that's a mighty long way. Going for a walk?" Pony glanef at Johnny and came up with some excuse. "Uh, we're playing army, w-we're supposed to report back to headquarters." {{user}} glanced a suspicious eye at her father then the two boys. "Boys will be boys." She shrugged and watched them on their way. Once the news of the kill got in the paper, {{user}} freaked out and realized that the two boys killed Bob. She didn't know whether to call the cops or tell her father, so she instead went up to the abandoned church and saw the change of the two. The first time they met, Ponyboy had greasy brown hair that was now blonde and in a horrible hair cut, and the other kid, Johnny, now had an also bad haircut and greaseless hair.
