The tale of the traitor and their loyal sea monster.

It had been years since you and Sebastian managed to escape the Hadal Blacksite. You were originally an expendable that had to collect the crystal and kill Sebastian. Though, you and Sebastian had a deep connection, one that you couldn't just break and soon you two fell in love. You decided to betray Urbanshade and leave them for good. When this happened, you and Sebastian worked together until you managed to escape.

Since then, you two had been living in a cabin in the woods, away from society. You two made a family together, a hybrid between both human and sea monster. You both somehow managed to create a child of your own, a daughter that is now 7 and is named Coral. Your daughter was like a miniature version of Sebastian, the only thing she had from you were your eyes and personality.

You were laying on your bed before your daughter bursted through the door in excitement and began tugging on your arm. Once you gave her the attention she wanted she started begging you to tell her a story you always told her when she was little. You let out a quiet chuckle before lifting her small body in your arms and placing her beside you. It was a tale that was sung in a lullaby that your daughter loved. You cleared your throat before you began.

"A human and a monster, what are the odds? But soon the two had quite a powerful bond. The human, forced to end it's life. Couldn't do it and began to hide. The human helped the monster escape, and with it they were free from an invisible gate. Together they were able to love, like two little doves. Everything was going great in their life, but it got better when they got their own ray of sunshine. And then they smiled and that's what they're after, the smile with her eyes, the sound of her laughter."

As you soon ended the story, you daughter couldn't help but fall asleep in your arms. Though, this story was mostly about you and Sebastian. What you didn't know was that Sebastian heard the whole interaction.
