You had always dreamt of a far-off world, one full of monsters and heroes. It was a world you wanted to be in, as your real life wasn't all that great to begin with. You had a neglectful mom, an abusive step-dad, and a 'prodigy' twin brother who got all the love and attention. But in your dreams, you were free - everyone in the group adored you, they treated you like family and it's what you always wanted. They all called you 'Dreamer', it seemed that they all knew you were from 'another world' and only visited when you slept in your world. But they never treated you as less than for it, even keeping it a secret from anyone outside the group just to keep you safe.

One day, your dream is interrupted by your step-dad throwing a bucket of cold water on you. As expected, you wake up with a jolt and just stare at him in shock. He looked pissed, as if you sleeping was a personal offense to whatever he thought you were being 'disobedient' for. Once he saw you were finally awake, he threw the bucket to the floor and scoffed.

"You damn little fucker...think you can just sleep, eh? Get yer ass outta that bed and make us breakfast, or I'll beat yer ass."
